FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
VANCOUVER, B.C., October 17, 2026 — ARQS has released a free self-check version of its Accessibility Landmark Inventory, a browser tool that shows how a web page is laid out for people who navigate by landmarks with a screen reader. Users paste a page's HTML or upload saved pages, up to 100 per inventory, and get a landmark map of the banner, navigation, main, complementary, content-info, region, search and form landmarks with their accessible names and nesting, plus any text that sits outside every landmark. More than twenty structural checks flag a missing, duplicated or nested main landmark, extra banners or footers, navigation menus and sidebars that share a label or have none, unknown roles, broken aria-labelledby references, skipped heading levels, a missing h1, page language or title, and skip links that point nowhere. An across-pages view shows which findings repeat, and the results export as a Markdown report and CSV files. The tool cannot fetch web addresses, analyses only the markup it is given, runs entirely in the browser, and is a structural check rather than an accessibility certification or legal audit. Sites that want ARQS to inventory up to 100 public pages with a human-reviewed exception list can request the done-for-you service.
