FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

VANCOUVER, B.C., October 21, 2026 — ARQS has released AI Readiness Check, a free browser tool that helps a small business see where it stands before it buys AI tools or books an outside review. The owner answers 25 plain statements, five in each of the domains the paid ARQS AI Readiness Audit looks at: data, AI adoption and tools, security and governance, people and workforce, and strategy and processes. Each answer is Not yet, Started, Partly, Mostly or Fully, and anything the owner does not know can be marked Not sure. The tool turns the answers into a score out of 100 for each domain and overall, a readiness level from Foundations first to Ready to scale, and a shape chart that shows the weakest domain at a glance. Every weak answer becomes a ranked gap with one practical next step, such as writing a one-page rule for what data may go into AI tools or naming an owner for each data set, and every Not sure answer becomes a question to settle before or during the audit. A second tab lists the business's data sets, where each one lives, who owns it, whether it holds personal data and whether it can be exported, along with the tools and subscriptions the team pays for and any AI features in use. Checks flag personal data with no owner, data that cannot be exported, records still on paper and AI tools in use without an approval decision, including free personal accounts staff use for work. The owner can download a prep sheet with the profile, scores, gaps, questions and both inventories, export the answers and the inventory as spreadsheet files, import an inventory from a spreadsheet, save the whole self-check as a file and open it again, or print it. The score is the owner's own answers, not a measurement or certification. The tool makes no AI call and sends nothing; everything stays in the browser. It opens with a labelled fictional sample, a property care company in Victoria. AI Readiness Check is free and has no checkout of its own; businesses that want an expert review can read about the paid ARQS AI Readiness Audit on its own page.
