ARQS opens Risk Intelligence, a free phone-first workbench that puts earthquake, wildfire, flood, hurricane and location risk context beside its public sources

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
VANCOUVER, B.C., October 21, 2026 — ARQS has opened Risk Intelligence, a free research workbench that gathers natural-hazard context in one place, with the public source attached to every figure. It has six modules. Seismic lists recent earthquakes from the free United States Geological Survey feed, with magnitude, place, depth, time and a source link on each row, and a region filter; if the feed cannot be reached, a clearly labelled sample is shown instead. Wildfire gives fire-danger context with reference rows and points readers to the Canadian Wildland Fire Information System for current conditions. Flood and Hurricane link the existing ARQS Flood and Hurricane Intelligence pages and the official sources, including Environment and Climate Change Canada's Water Office, the Canadian Hurricane Centre and the United States National Hurricane Center, rather than copying them. Location Physical Risk combines the module scores into a single 0 to 100 view with a Low, Moderate or High band for a few demonstration profiles, including Vancouver, Calgary, Halifax and Toronto; it is labelled as a demonstration, not a hazard assessment, and nothing typed into it is stored. Future Risk explains how hazard exposure may shift over the coming decades as educational scenarios, not forecasts, each with its sources. The workbench is built phone-first and is part of the ARQS Intelligence Network. It is for education and information only: it does not issue alerts, warnings or evacuation guidance, and readers are told to follow their local emergency authority and the official government channels linked in each module. The fuller paid research service, ARQS Location & Physical Risk Intelligence, has its own page.
