FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

VANCOUVER, B.C., October 20, 2026 — ARQS has released AI Cost Router, a free browser tool for planning which AI model should handle which job. Users list their workloads — classify, summarize, extract, draft, code and reasoning tasks — with monthly request volume, average input and output tokens, the quality each task needs, how fast it must answer and how sensitive its data is. They enter the models they can use in an editable price table with input and output rates per million tokens, quality tier, speed and context window, and mark which data each model is cleared for under their own policy. The router applies four rules (quality, latency, data clearance and context fit) and sends each task to the cheapest model that passes all of them, explaining every choice and flagging tasks no model can take. It shows cost per task, the monthly bill, the cost of running everything on the top model, savings as a percentage, cache-hit and batch-discount what-if sliders, and a budget cap that warns when spend is near or over. A fictional support and operations workload is loaded as a sample with clearly labelled example rates and generic model names, not real vendor prices. Projects save in the browser and export as a Markdown routing policy, a formula-safe CSV and a JSON route config. It never calls a model provider and needs no API keys.
