Pick a template (fixed-price project, hourly work, monthly retainer, mutual NDA or change order), fill in the client, the work and the fee, and it writes an agreement with an "In plain words" summary you can copy into an email or e-signature service, print or save as a PDF. The money panel works out GST/HST by province, the deposit and the balance. A 0–100 contract check flags what freelancers most often leave out: a deposit, what's not included, a revision limit, who owns the work and when, notice and a kill fee if the client cancels, late interest shown as a yearly rate (Canada's Interest Act), your GST/HST number, and Quebec's French-first rule for standard-form contracts.
