Two former Amazon executives who helped build Discovery's direct-to-consumer operation in Bellevue are leaving their leadership roles after Paramount Skydance acquired Warner Bros. Discovery, GeekWire reported Thursday. Avi Saxena and Tyler Whitworth will stay in advisory roles during the transition. Saxena joined Discovery in 2019 as chief technology officer of the direct-to-consumer business and led the Bellevue office. He became CTO of Warner Bros. Discovery after the 2022 merger with WarnerMedia. Paramount Skydance completed the purchase on Oct. 6, and the combined company took the name Skydance Corporation. Saxena spent 19 years at Amazon over two stints.
