PicoBrew's patents are for sale again, six years after the Seattle company collapsed
Hilco is marketing 17 patents and applications for Pico Craft Group. Indications of interest are due Nov. 18.

Hilco Global said this week it is marketing the patents of PicoBrew, the Seattle homebrew startup that collapsed in 2020, GeekWire reported Wednesday. The sale covers 17 patents and applications, two of them pending, plus engineering files and product concepts. Buyers can bid on all or part of the portfolio. Non-binding indications of interest are due Nov. 18.
The seller is Pico Craft Group, which Hilco described as led by a former PicoBrew investor. After the 2020 collapse, bridge lender PB Funding Group, managed by former Microsoft developer Greg Whitten, took the assets, The Seattle Times reported at the time. Pico Craft later bought them. Hilco is pitching the portfolio to companies in coffee, tea, kombucha, spirits and housewares.
