Blue Origin confirmed to GeekWire that it is taking the 265,922-square-foot Prologis Park SeaTac 3 building in Des Moines, Washington, the former Bartell Drugs distribution center at 21202 24th Avenue South. The company said the site will be used for laboratory work, development and light production. At full capacity it expects the building to hold hundreds of employees. Blue Origin's headquarters in Kent is about five miles away.

KING 5 first reported the plan on Tuesday from a September state environmental application filed by Blue Origin Manufacturing LLC. Newmark had leased the whole building the week before without naming the tenant. GeekWire published the confirmation at 8:25 a.m. Pacific on October 28.
