Vancouver's Vistara Growth launches a sixth fund aimed at $500 million
Ryan Beedie has anchored the fund with up to $125 million. An initial close of $200 million to $250 million is the near-term target.

Vancouver private-credit firm Vistara Growth has launched its sixth fund and hopes to raise $500 million U.S., about $700 million Canadian, BetaKit reported on Tuesday. It wants an initial close of $200 million to $250 million U.S. for the Vistara Growth Structured Opportunities Fund by the end of November. Longtime limited partner Ryan Beedie has committed up to $125 million through his family office.
Beedie disclosed that commitment this summer, when Beedie Capital bought a 50 percent stake in Vistara's general partnership, splitting the firm's 20 percent share of gains and the annual management fee. Founder Randy Garg said raising a new fund every two years is not simple. The investment strategy stays the same as earlier funds.
