Avante, a Seattle company that uses AI to help employers manage health care and other benefits, has raised a $30 million Series A, GeekWire reported on Tuesday. Frist Cressey Ventures led the round, with Sorenson Capital, Hearst Ventures, Morgan Stanley Next Level Fund and existing investor Fuse. The round brings total funding to $40 million, after a $10 million seed led by Fuse in 2024.

Avante's agents compare vendor contracts with actual claims, review plan documents for errors and prepare renewals. Employees can ask questions about their own coverage. The company said it will use the money to expand internationally and build more agents, after a beta of Ava Agents last week.
