T-Mobile's T-Mix plans let customers spend Picks on a phone or on perks

Netflix, ESPN, Xbox Game Pass, Gemini and Delta SkyMiles come out of the same allowance as a new phone.

T-Mobile on Monday introduced wireless plans that change how customers get perks and phone deals, GeekWire reported. Instead of a fixed bundle of extras plus a discount on a new phone for each line, customers get a set number of Picks to spend on a new phone or on extras they can swap every 90 days. The company says it will be the only carrier that lets customers choose which benefits come with their plan.

The menu includes Netflix, ESPN, Xbox Game Pass, Google's Gemini and Delta SkyMiles. Phones and perks come out of the same pool of Picks, so a family that wants a new phone on every line has fewer Picks left for streaming and other extras.
