Anthropic filed for an initial public offering on Monday and plans to list under the ticker ANT, TechCrunch reported. The San Francisco company recorded $16.3 billion of revenue in the first half of 2026, up from $1.2 billion in the same period of 2025, according to the SEC filing. Operating losses narrowed to $693 million from $2.1 billion a year earlier. Net loss was $80.7 billion, largely from non-cash accounting tied to convertible debt. Anthropic said it may not achieve or sustain profitability.

As of the end of September, Anthropic had more than 11,900 customers spending $100,000 or more a year, 1,900 spending $1 million or more, and about 250 spending $10 million or more. The filing says seven co-founders, Dario Amodei, Daniela Amodei, Tom Brown, Jack Clark, Jared Kaplan, Sam McCandlish and Christopher Olah, will sit in a Founder LLC that collectively controls 50.1 percent of the vote after the listing.
