Microsoft committed $10 million to President Donald Trump's White House ballroom project, and Amazon and T-Mobile committed $5 million each, according to an internal donor list obtained by the Washington Post and reported on Thursday.

The money flows through a nonprofit, the Trust for the National Mall, into a White House account the president controls, and is not subject to campaign finance limits or disclosure rules. Of the $333 million raised so far, most came from companies and wealthy individuals with interests before the federal government, the Post found.

Apple and Nvidia were among the top contributors at $25 million each on the list of 67 donations above $10,000. Microsoft's commitment placed it alongside Palantir and Lockheed Martin, while Amazon and T-Mobile joined Meta, Cisco and ServiceNow at $5 million.

The three Seattle-area companies all deal with Washington as suppliers or regulated businesses. Amazon faces an FTC antitrust trial next year, Microsoft is in a dispute with the Labor Department over its suspension from sponsoring foreign workers for permanent residency, and T-Mobile needs federal approval for spectrum and acquisitions. A Microsoft spokesperson declined to comment beyond what had been reported.
