The CRTC has confirmed that a Telus Broadband Fund project in B.C.'s central interior is complete and providing service, MobileSyrup reported on Wednesday.

The project, completed on Aug. 27 with about $9.7 million in Broadband Fund support, adds 119 kilometres of mobile coverage along Highway 20 and serves roughly 751 households with improved fibre, fixed wireless and mobile connections.

Communities served include Alexis Creek, Anahim Lake, Nimpo Lake, Riske Creek and Tatla Lake, along with many First Nations communities.

The CRTC also confirmed a completed Rogers project in Ontario. The projects were previously approved; the regulator has now accepted their final implementation reports.
