Purebread Brands and Caffè Artigiano have signed a letter of intent for Purebread to acquire the Vancouver cafe chain, including its corporate and franchise operations in Canada, Daily Hive reported on Tuesday.

The deal would result in 16 company-operated bakery and cafe locations plus Artigiano's 11 franchise locations, for 27 in total, with seven more Artigiano locations in development.

"Bringing these businesses together gives us immediate scale, a 27-location operating and franchise network and a strong pipeline for continued growth," Purebread CEO Christian Bullock said.

Artigiano president and CEO Dean Shillington said the combination creates "a solid foundation for growth." Purebread was acquired by Coho Collective Kitchens in 2023.
