Nvidia has reportedly stopped supplying GB202 processors for consumer GeForce RTX 5090 cards, including the China-market D variants, Tom's Hardware reported on Saturday, citing a leaked factory notice shared by leakers on X.

"Going forward, the highest-end GeForce graphics card will be the RTX 5080 24GB, while the RTX 5080 16GB version will be discontinued," the notice reads, according to the report.

Tom's Hardware stressed the claim is unverified and not an official announcement. Nvidia, based in Santa Clara, did not respond to a request for comment and typically does not comment on rumours.

The move would let Nvidia sell the same silicon in more lucrative products such as the RTX Pro 5500, which has the same 21,760 CUDA cores as the RTX 5090 but 84GB of memory, the report said.
