Seattle startup hub Foundations offers its AI founders for hire as Superhuman opens local office
The service lets businesses contract members to build AI systems as early-stage funding gets harder to raise.

Foundations, the startup community with hubs in Seattle and San Francisco, has launched a service that lets businesses contract with its members to build AI systems and applications, GeekWire reported.
The service gives founders a new way to pay their bills as early-stage investment becomes harder to raise, and reflects how AI is making software easier to build and leading some startups to act more like services firms, according to the report.
Separately, Superhuman, the San Francisco company formerly known as Grammarly, moved into a South Lake Union office with room for 80 people and is hiring. It joins OpenAI, Anthropic and other out-of-town AI companies expanding in the region in search of technical talent, GeekWire said.
A former tech leader has also launched The SWELL, a downtown Seattle hub for women entrepreneurs operating out of SURF Incubator, which has signed up 53 members in less than 10 weeks.
