Canada–Vietnam air deal opens the door to non-stop Vancouver flights
The expanded agreement allows up to 14 weekly passenger flights and seven weekly cargo flights between the two countries.

Non-stop flights between Vancouver and Vietnam moved a step closer after Canada and Vietnam expanded their air transport agreement to allow direct flights between the two countries for the first time, Daily Hive reported.
The agreement, announced by Prime Minister Mark Carney as part of a new strategic partnership with Vietnam, lets airlines from each country operate up to 14 weekly passenger flights and seven weekly dedicated cargo flights. Airlines will also be allowed to carry cargo between the two countries as part of services that begin or end in their home country.
Daily Hive reported that a Vancouver–Ho Chi Minh City route could begin in 2027.
For B.C. exporters, importers and tourism operators, new direct capacity to one of Asia's fastest-growing economies would shorten supply chains and open new travel markets.
