Langley trucking firm installs Canada's first Tesla Megachargers
R.R. Plett Trucking has ordered 12 Tesla Semis and is putting 1.2-megawatt chargers at its Langley and Kamloops yards.

R.R. Plett Trucking of Langley has installed Canada's first two Tesla Megachargers, at its headquarters in Langley and its facility in Kamloops, Driving.ca reported, citing Electric Autonomy, which broke the story.
The company has ordered 12 all-electric Tesla Class 8 trucks and is installing the 1.2-megawatt MCS chargers in anticipation of their arrival. The chargers can add up to 60 per cent of battery range in about 30 minutes.
Chief operating officer Trevor Plett said projects are under way in Langley and Kamloops, and the company plans two more sites, one in Golden, B.C., and one in Calgary.
Electric freight is still early in Canada, and fleets adopting it are leaning heavily on route planning, charging schedules and maintenance data to make the economics work.
