ARQS Games Launches Original Checkers Experience With Guided Play and Private Saves
The original browser game combines standard English checkers rules with three computer opponents, local two-player play, coaching and device-local progress.

ARQS Games has launched ARQS Checkers, an original browser implementation of English checkers designed around clear rules, guided play and a calm board experience. The game is available now without an account and gives visitors a choice of three computer opponents or a local two-player match on the same device.
The three computer levels—Explorer, Challenger and Strategist—give new and returning players different levels of resistance. Contextual coaching explains forced captures, jumps and crowns as those situations arise. A hint control can identify a legal route, while undo, move history and achievement tracking make it easier to learn from each turn.
The launch places accessibility and privacy inside the game rather than beside it. The board supports keyboard and touch input, uses screen-reader labels for playable cells and respects reduced-motion preferences. Match state and earned badges are stored in the visitor’s browser. ARQS says the game does not require a profile and does not send play history to an analytics profile.
ARQS Checkers follows standard American or English checkers conventions, including mandatory capture, continued jumps, promotion, kings moving in both directions and draw handling. The underlying rules engine is shared across the ARQS, Jason’s Place and Townline editions while each public experience has its own audience, language and visual setting.
A commercial path is also live. The licensing desk lists a $49 Home Edition for personal or household use and a $99 One-Site Licence for one owned domain. The one-site option includes a configurable title and sponsor link plus 30 days of setup support. Custom or multi-site use requires a separate agreement.
The release is part of a broader move to make ARQS Games a working catalogue rather than a placeholder. Visitors can play the public edition immediately, while households and site operators have a direct route to permanent or branded editions.
