ARQS has made Design Workbench available as a working browser application that joins three stages of a small software delivery: checking source, compiling design tokens and assembling the handoff. The October 13 release is version 1.1.2. Its named projects keep these materials together on the user's device, so a finding does not have to be copied between separate notebooks to reach the final delivery pack.
The product is aimed at a designer, developer or small agency that needs a repeatable package for a client. A user can move among DesignGuard, TokenBridge and Handoff Studio inside the same workspace. Each tool also has its own entry link for a focused task.
A project that survives the next visit
The project picker creates, names, renames, switches and deletes local workspaces. Projects persist in the browser through IndexedDB. A newly created or imported project remains the selected project after a reload, a behavior specifically checked in the current release. This is useful when preparing more than one client's delivery on the same computer: the user can reopen the intended project rather than rely on whichever tab happened to be left open.
Portable project JSON gives the user a second way to retain the work. Exporting that file before clearing browser data makes the project independent of the current browser profile. Importing it restores the saved materials into the Workbench project workflow. A browser's local storage should still be treated as a working copy, with exports retained wherever the user keeps their own project backups.
From a finding to an acceptance check
Source review produces findings with line information from supplied HTML or JSX. Token compilation turns validated JSON into CSS, SCSS, JavaScript or normalized JSON. The workflow can carry review findings and compiled-style acceptance criteria into the same handoff project, keeping the material connected to the task that produced it.
The final workspace ZIP contains actual reports, styles, source, an acceptance CSV and portable project JSON. Those files can be inspected outside the application, attached to a client delivery or kept with the team's repository. The pack organizes the work; it does not decide whether a client's design is approved or whether a source finding is a release blocker.
Local work and practical portability
Source and client project data stay on the device in this release. An account is not required. The scoped service worker also supports offline use after a successful cache installation. Users who want to work disconnected should first open the hosted application while online and confirm that installation has completed, then keep a project export as their separate backup.
The published desktop catalog distinguishes the bundle from its individual tools. This version does not advertise cloud project synchronization or direct Figr synchronization. Its completed workflow is the local project, its three connected tools and the files the user can take away.
Price, access and delivery
The hosted ARQS Design Workbench can be opened immediately. The separately licensed desktop edition is listed at $199 USD as a one-time digital purchase on its published product page. Buyers can inspect the functioning browser application before ordering the files.
ARQS states its delivery promise before purchase: software files will be emailed within 72 elapsed hours of successful payment, or the buyer will receive a full refund if ARQS cannot deliver within that window. These orders are fulfilled by the owner; checkout does not supply an automatic instant attachment. License, delivery and refund enquiries go to sales@arqs.ca.
