ARQS has released the source-review edition of DesignGuard, a browser tool for examining supplied HTML and JSX and producing findings that a person can act on. The tool opens directly inside Design Workbench, with the source-review tab selected. The emphasis is a local, inspectable review: users provide their source, inspect the reported lines and decide which items belong in their delivery checklist.

This edition addresses the practical gap between spotting a possible problem and recording it clearly enough for somebody else to fix. It is distinct from the earlier DesignGuard brand-inspection and rights-audit concept. The completed product described here is the source reviewer, its reports, its selected-color contrast utility and its transfer into Handoff Studio.

Review the source you supply

A user starts by opening DesignGuard's own application link and providing HTML or JSX. Findings carry line information so that the user can return to the relevant portion of the file. The report is a starting point for source inspection, rather than an assurance that every accessibility, security or rendering issue has been detected. The reviewer must interpret each item in the context of the actual page.

That makes the tool useful for an early review before a handoff: a developer can read the source, identify the items that need attention, then preserve the findings in the same named project. Design Workbench retains the project across reloads. Portable JSON and workspace ZIP exports give the user a way to keep the source and review results together outside the browser.

A focused check for a selected color pair

The contrast utility examines the foreground and background colors the user selects. It answers a specific question about that pair. It does not automatically discover every color in a rendered website, infer every state of an interactive component or certify an entire design. A designer can use the result while deciding which combination to keep, then record the decision in the project's delivery material.

When colors belong to a reusable design system, TokenBridge supplies the neighboring workflow for compiling validated tokens into style files. The two tools have different jobs: one helps review supplied source and selected colors, while the other gives a token collection a portable code representation. Users can work with either tool independently or retain both in one workspace.

Carry the result into the handoff

DesignGuard can transfer its findings into the handoff workflow. Tasks and supporting evidence can then travel with the delivery pack. A client or colleague receives material tied to the work performed, rather than an unexplained statement that a design has passed. Reports and acceptance CSV files can be read without reopening the source-review interface.

The source-review edition runs locally in the browser and does not require an account or upload client source to an application backend. Users should export the project before clearing browser data. The Workbench shop lists the individual $49 USD edition and the separate bundle, so buyers can choose the scope that matches their work.

Price, access and delivery

The hosted ARQS DesignGuard can be opened immediately. The separately licensed desktop edition is listed at $49 USD as a one-time digital purchase on its published product page. Buyers can inspect the functioning browser application before ordering the files.

ARQS states its delivery promise before purchase: software files will be emailed within 72 elapsed hours of successful payment, or the buyer will receive a full refund if ARQS cannot deliver within that window. These orders are fulfilled by the owner; checkout does not supply an automatic instant attachment. License, delivery and refund enquiries go to sales@arqs.ca.
