About 1.4 million cruise passenger visits were recorded in Vancouver through 358 ship calls between February and October, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority says, roughly 20 per cent more than in 2025, CBC News reports.
That beats the 2024 record of about 1.32 million visits through 327 calls. The authority says the sector added more than $1 billion to the local economy, citing a 2025 survey that found passengers spend an average of about $1,100 in the city.
The authority projects a further seven per cent increase in both passenger visits and ship calls next year.
