Townline has made Town Pulse available as a free working dashboard that brings local preferences, feed states and additional observation panels into one browser view. Users can select a city, retain their preferences and return to that selection after a reload. The dashboard has its own direct URL and can be opened without buying a software license.

The application belongs to the local-discovery experience offered by Townline. It gives a reader a place to begin a session and inspect available sources, rather than presenting every panel as if it came from a single newsroom or was verified at the same moment.

A city selection that remains useful

A user can choose a city and set preferences in the dashboard. Persistence keeps that choice on the same device across reloads, reducing the need to configure a visit from the beginning each time. The city and preference workflow was checked in the completed release, alongside fresh phone runs and the dashboard's core controls.

The selected city provides context for local discovery. A person can use the dashboard as a starting point, then follow the original source for the detail behind an item. A local listing or a feed observation should be checked at its source when it will affect a trip, a booking or another time-sensitive plan.

Read a feed state as well as a headline

Feed states help a user see the condition of the information panel rather than assume that every source always responds. External services can be unavailable or return different content over time. A useful dashboard exposes the state of that request and lets the reader distinguish available material from a panel that needs another attempt.

The release also includes crypto and foreign-exchange observation panels. Those displays belong to their stated data context; they do not turn Town Pulse into a trading account or a financial recommendation service. Readers who need to examine their own supplied crypto observations can use the separate Crypto Toolkit, whose watchlist, record and practice workspaces have their own defined scope.

Use the player and explore the local destination

NASA player controls are part of the functioning dashboard experience. A user can operate those controls alongside the local panels. The presence of an external player does not mean that Townline creates or owns the underlying broadcast; the panel is a route to that source within the dashboard.

The local directory provides a neighboring discovery surface for the city-oriented visit. Sponsor Studio is a separate generator for businesses preparing their own creative, while LaunchPage Studio is a separate page editor. These products have different tasks from the dashboard. Town Pulse's completed role is to provide the saved preferences, visible source states and controls a reader can use immediately at its public URL.

Free browser access

The Townline Town Pulse is available as a free web application. There is no checkout required to use this hosted surface. Its public URL is the direct route to the working software, rather than a waiting list or an order form.

Town Pulse can be used alongside the Townline local directory without buying a software license. Its usefulness depends on the selected city and the availability of the external sources shown in the dashboard; readers should open the original source when making plans from a feed item.
