ARQS has released Neighbourmark Ledger, catalogued as KODE-380, a browser tool for businesses that run one or more tills and want to check each day’s close.
Users import or type in each location’s close: opening float, cash sales, paid-outs, the cash counted, point-of-sale card totals, card terminal totals and the deposit. Neighbourmark works out expected cash and shows how far the count was over or short, and it flags any day where the terminal and the point-of-sale system disagree on card sales.
A bank deposits file can be added as well. The tool matches each day’s deposit to the bank within five days, lists bags that never arrived, and lists bank deposits with no matching close. It also flags closes beyond a chosen threshold and any location with three or more short closes in a row, and summarises each location by month.
Data stays in the browser, and closes are recorded in a hash-chained journal so later edits can be detected. ARQS says the tool does not connect to point-of-sale systems or banks and is not accounting advice.
Plans are listed at US$199 a month or US$1,990 a year. Online checkout is not open yet; buyers request access by email.
Details are on the Neighbourmark Ledger page, with pricing on the access page.
