Townline has added Sky & Moon, a free British Columbia sky desk that opens with the Moon’s verified phase, illuminated fraction, tropical ecliptic position and the exact UTC timing of the next four principal lunar phases. The new page extends Townline’s “local intelligence radar” beyond its daily feed, event discovery and live local signals while keeping facts, entertainment and safety advice in clearly separate lanes.

The launch snapshot, calculated at 10:32 a.m. Pacific on October 7, identifies a waning crescent with 9.6 per cent illumination. The Moon is shown at 8°19′ Virgo and the Sun at 14°28′ Libra in the connected tool’s geocentric tropical frame. Upcoming milestones include the October 10 new moon, October 18 first quarter, October 25 Pacific-time full moon and November 1 last quarter. The page converts the source UTC timestamps to Pacific time for readers and exposes the update time so an older snapshot cannot quietly pose as live data.

One sky, different local conditions

The astronomical phase applies across Townline’s provincial network, but what a resident can actually see depends on cloud, terrain, horizon and light pollution. That distinction matters from the Okanagan’s Kelowna edition and Vernon edition to the coast’s Victoria edition and Vancouver edition. Readers can move from the sky desk into Townline LIVE for local information, then return to community tools, the Ticket Hub or the wider city directory.

The interface deliberately labels its two interpretive lanes. Astronomy describes the calculated phase and positions. A separate astrology card offers a light journal prompt—Virgo themes of editing routines and simplifying clutter—and labels that material as entertainment rather than prediction. Townline does not use the Moon page for medical, emergency, road, weather or travel decisions.

An ARQS layer around connected capability

The October 7 numbers were generated through the connected AstroBella Astrology tool and published inside an original Townline interface designed by ARQS Software Intelligence Systems. This is a launch snapshot, not a direct third-party embed, and no partnership or endorsement is implied. The free page does not collect a birth date, birth time or birthplace. Personalized natal charts and compatibility products are not being sold through this release while privacy, licensing, commercial-use and fulfillment requirements remain under review.

The launch also creates a reusable publishing seam: a dated data file can support future verified sky updates, while the customer page retains an explicit freshness label. Each update can be covered through the West Coast News front page, archived through the ARQS Press Room, connected to company news and translated into social material without changing the underlying factual record.

Townline continues to connect local information, community discovery and business visibility. Organizations can review Townline visibility options, while residents can return to the Townline hub for the wider provincial network. The Sky & Moon launch is available now as a free reader feature.
