PANEL 1Glass cabins hang above dark pines and snowy peaks. A cabin waits securely at a tower. LOLO: “Never reset an alarm because it is inconvenient.” JAY: “No cap. Alarms have feelings.” TRAY: “Alarms have data. Similar, but louder.”
PANEL 2Rae checks the earlier wrench, remotes, meters, clips, and safety tools in her belt, then adds a Wind-Safe Cable Gauge. BIG GAG: Glitch hears “cable gauge” as “bagel stage” and projects a dancing bagel. RAE: “Read the manual, Glitch.” GLITCH: “Toasted instructions accepted.”
PANEL 3Lolo points to spinning sensor cups. RAE: “Kid version: wind sensors feel air speed. The lift computer compares gusts with a safe limit. Pushy wind means slow or pause.” TRAY: “A weather referee for a flying bus.” JAY: “Main-character job.”
PAGE 2
PANEL 4A low-wind test lets the cabin glide three metres and stop on command. LOLO: “Brake, cable, towers, and sensors work together.” RAE: “Like us, except the cable never requests crackers.” JAY: “It has not met my crackers.”
PANEL 5Jay’s wrapper blows over the sensor cups. The monitor says ZERO WIND while pines bend. BIG GAG: A station fan inflates Jay’s spare poncho into a balloon suit; he waddles into a padded flag. JAY: “I have become the weather!” RAE: “A very visible mistake.”
PANEL 6Tray compares the monitor with a hard-snapping window ribbon. TRAY: “Vibe check: trees say windy; screen says picnic. Sus.” Lolo uses the intercom: “Passengers, stay seated. Your cabin is secure while we check.”
PAGE 3
PANEL 7Rae clips the Gauge to a station test line, never the running cable. It shows steady vibration. Binoculars reveal the wrapper. RAE: “The lift is fine; the sensor needs clear wind.” JAY: “My wrapper did a side quest.” TRAY: “Not invited back.”
PANEL 8Lolo, secured on the service platform, removes the wrapper with a long pole while the kids stay behind yellow lines. Cups spin; screen and ribbon agree; the computer waits for gentler gusts. BIG GAG: Glitch’s bagel projection becomes a helmeted sensor giving a thumbs-up. LOLO: “Now data agrees with the sky.”
PAGE 4
PANEL 9When wind drops below the limit, the tram rolls slowly down. Lolo pays Rae twenty-four Crew Coins. LOLO: “You noticed a mismatch and followed rules. That is lift maintenance.” RAE: “Pay us properly, and the bagel may dance.” TRAY writes: “Sky Tram: +$24. Crew Bank total: $190.”
PANEL 10A bus arrives, its visitors pointing at different signs. Glitch announces, “Translation Earbuds Tangle detected!” JAY: “Bet. I speak snack, directions, and polite panic.”
